Moreover, the best air cleaners require a change of filters when the filter gets full. Since there is so
much pollution near the NJ Turnpike, tenants would need to buy air filters very often. Unfortunately, filters are expensive.
Low-income tenants might not be able to afford to buy them.

 

Even if the perfect filter is invented, it will not solve the problem because children love to play outside.  In the neighborhood where I spent my youth, parents could not stop their kids from running outdoors. Even a child who grows up in a palace may be challenging to control.
